I was born in 1979, the year of the Sheep, in a small village in Southern China. When I was about 7 years old, I moved to Denmark to live with my uncle and aunt in a small town in Northwest Jutland. At that time, we were the only Chinese family in town, and I quickly learned the Danish language and culture.

After graduating from college, I dreamed of living in Hong Kong, working in one of those beautiful tall buildings like the busy business people I saw in TVB drama series. That dream came true, and I lived it for about 16 years in Hong Kong.

As my life took a drastic turn, I decided to move back to Denmark with my two young daughters. Although I was already familiar with many places, I felt very much like a tourist again; there were so many new and exciting places to explore and fun activities to discover with my children.

That’s how the idea for The Shepherd, unique tours, came about when I realized Denmark has so much more to offer than the well-known tourist attractions. On the “Denmark” page, you can read more about the country, and on the “Tours” page, you will find the types of tours we offer. It continues to develop, with new tours being added.
