Discovering Denmark Solo Tour 3-7 Days

7 Days

Experience Denmark like never before on this solo adventure, where nature, adventure, and culture come together. Wander through ancient pine forests and dramatic white cliffs, hike along serene beaches, and breathe in the fresh coastal air. Challenge yourself with optional activities such as yoga, treetop climbing, zip-lining, and campfire cooking, while discovering the thrill of the outdoors. Along the way, immerse yourself in Danish heritage, explore charming coastal towns, savour traditional cuisine, and connect with local communities through hands-on experiences. This is a journey that balances exploration, excitement, and authentic cultural encounters—all designed for solo travellers seeking a meaningful adventure.

You may join the whole tour of 7 days to get the full experience or you are welcomed to join the number of days that fits your travel plan. We do recommend to join from day 1 to get the same introduction as the rest of the group and ends the tour earlier.

Day 1 – Sunday: Arrival in Copenhagen

Arrive in Copenhagen (own flight arrangements) and check into Urban House Copenhagen or a similar mid-range hotel. At 5:00 PM, meet your tour guide and fellow travelers in the hotel lobby for a welcome session with practical information about the week ahead. The evening continues with a social dinner at a nearby restaurant, a chance to get to know your group in a relaxed setting.

Day 2 – Monday: Tisvilde Hegn & Coastal Charm

After breakfast, we leave Copenhagen for the North Zealand coast, starting a gentle 7 km walk through Tisvilde Hegn. This enchanting route takes us past Tibirke Church, the mystical Troll Forest (Denmark’s oldest pine forest with gnarled trees dating back to the 18th century), Bronze Age burial mounds, and the site of a lost village. Keep an eye out for woodpeckers along the way.

Our walk ends on Tisvildeleje Beach, where we enjoy lunch by the sea. The afternoon is yours to explore the charming town, browse local boutiques and cafés, or take a refreshing swim.

In the evening, gather for a hands-on campfire cooking experience, preparing a rustic 3-course dinner together under the open sky (indoor option available in case of rain). Overnight stay in a cozy local Bed & Breakfast.

Day 3 – Tuesday: Stevns Klint – UNESCO Coastal Trail

Following breakfast, we head south to the dramatic cliffs of Stevns Klint, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, a thin clay layer still bears traces of the asteroid impact that wiped out the dinosaurs 66 million years ago—changing life on Earth forever.

From the historic lighthouse, we walk about 8 km along the cliff-edge trail, passing Cold War relics, Højerup Church, Boesdal Limestone Quarry, and the Stevns Experience Center. Turquoise waters accompany us all the way.

Lunch is a scenic picnic (sheltered if needed). The walk ends in Rødvig Havn, a tranquil harbor town where we check into a charming beach hotel. Dinner is a 2-course meal at the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 4 – Wednesday: Relaxation or Active Options in Rødvig

Enjoy breakfast with sea views before choosing how to spend your day:

  • Included activities:
    • Relax with a book in the hotel garden, swim, or enjoy the beach sauna.
    • Guided yoga session (75 minutes).
    • Sightseeing in Køge town with your guide (by public transport).
  • Optional activities (extra cost):
    • Paddleboard introduction course (ca. 2 hours, DKK 750/person).
    • Vineyard visit with wine tasting (DKK 300/person).

In the evening, the group reunites for dinner at a local restaurant in Køge, offering a variety of meal choices. Overnight in the same beach hotel, Rødvig.

Day 5 – Thursday: Hiking at Møns Klint

Today we journey further south to Møns Klint, famous for its striking chalk cliffs. We hike the “Kingdom of the Cliff King” route, approximately 7 km of moderate-level trails with more elevation than previous walks.

Lunch is a picnic in the picturesque park of Liselund Castle, before transferring back to our beach hotel. The evening concludes with another delicious 2-course dinner.

Day 6 – Friday: Camp Adventure & Forest Stay

After breakfast, we travel to Camp Adventure in Rønned and check into forest huts/cottage. The day offers slow pace, enjoy the calm in forest and the cozy interior. Or you can choose one or more of these activities:

  • Challenge yourself in Denmark’s largest climbing park, home to thrilling courses and the country’s longest zipline.
  • Explore the forest farm, complete with vegetable gardens, greenhouses, flower fields, and friendly farm animals.
  • Join a guided visit to Holmegaard Værk, housing Denmark’s largest glass and ceramic collections, with live demonstrations of glassmaking.

Lunch is a traditional Danish meal at the hut/cottage. In the evening, the group prepares 3-Danish dishes together in the open kitchen, our guide is there to instruct and help you out. The day ends with sunset views and stargazing from the iconic 45-meter Forest Tower.

Day 7 – Saturday: Return to Copenhagen

After breakfast at the forest hut/cottage, we return to Copenhagen where the tour concludes.
